Fun for the kids
by Melissa Petri on August 16, 2006

Toddlers are easy to please and my son is not an exception. I think the SpongeBob cake alone would have made his day. However, we made sure that we prepared something more to make him feel special. We made sure that his friends from his kindergarten were there to celebrate with him. We spoiled him rotten with hugs, little gifts, food and smiles. We made him feel like he was the king of the day.
It was a bit chaotic at the end of the day but the look on his face and his excited screams made it all worthwhile.
Should you be planning a toddler's birthday bash anytime soon, you might want to check iVillage's ideas on Toddler Birthday Bash. Themes, Games, Gifts and Food ideas are numerous.
Short on cash? Like I said, toddlers are easy to please. You need not spend a whole lot to make your child feel special on his/her birthday. Check out eHow's How to Plan a Child's Birthday Party on a Budget and Stretcher's Happy Birthdays on a Budget.
Whether costly or cheap, your child will feel special on his/her day if you, parents, are there with your hugs, greetings and smiles.
