Baby Stroller as Cabin Luggage

It was exactly as I expected: light, easy to maneuver and easy to fold/unfold. Not to mention the fact that it looked oh so trendy.
However, on my second trip, as we were heading back home onboard KLM, it got broken. It could be because the porter ate too much energizer bars that morning and threw it hard; perhaps, it got caught while it was being carried down; or maybe it was just some freak accident which caused the upper bar to break.
I was so disappointed when the KLM staff gave us our Zapp back in Frankfurt. Despite being tired, we still took a short detour to report the damage. Thank God, the attending staff was efficient and KLM has a great insurance company to take care of everything.
A day later, we surrendered our Zapp to KLM's service company and got an ersatzkinderwagen.
Sure, it was a crappy Chicco umbrella stroller with an orange #5 sticker around the support bars but, at least, they had something for me to use while they figure out whether they will repair or replace my broken Zapp.
Yesterday, my son finally got his Zapp back. It now has a new frame. They decided to change the whole frame, rather than just fix the upper joint which was broken, because they found dents in other places. I was impressed!
What's my point? I am getting there... Well, if you are one of those unlucky ones whose baby strollers get damaged, it is worth filing a report. Airlines (well, at least KLM in my experience) will definitely take responsible actions. You wouldn't want to buy a new one at your own cost, would you?
