Bathing Your Baby

When I was a first time mom, I was very nervous about bathing my baby on my own. Handling a small baby was tricky enough as it is; a slippery baby submerged in water and cleaned with soap was going to be a nightmare, I had thought.
With practice, I learned.
Now that I have a newborn to bathe once again, I am still cautious but less nervous. Before I bring my son to his baby tub, I make sure that everything that I will need to clean him up, keep him occupied, dry him and dress him are within my reach.
Should you be embarking on this fun yet nerve wracking experience soon, you may want to check out MayoClinic's (via CNN) Bathing Your Newborn guide. In addition, keep in mind the biggest no-no of baby bathing: do not take your eyes of your baby!!! To further stress this, read surebaby's safety tips.
Keep calm, prepare everything and try to have fun in this new task!
