Birth Announcement choices
At 8-months and only a couple of weeks into my maternity leave, I was bored. Everyone in the family treated me like an invalid. My doctor endlessly gave me lectures on eating too much and exercising too little.
So, I did all of them (and myself a favor). I did what I was told and, at the same time, solved my "I-am-so-bored" problem.
With my sister, I walked and walked to several specialty stores to buy myself an art kit and, in the process, turned myself into Martha-Preggers-Stewart! In my mind, nothing could satisfy an excited pregnant lady more than to see a birth announcement card. A self-made one.
However, if it isn't your thing, you still have lots of other options.
TinyPrints, in my opinion, have simple yet elegant designs. Had I decided to have mine made, I would have definitely gone to tinyprints. Their contemporary design is my favorite.
If you prefer to have an online announcement and need a bit of help with the template, you can check out Hoover for their ready-made web templates.
If you have friends and relatives scattered all over the world, it would be a great idea to have your birth announcement printed as postcards.
Different strokes for different folks!

Hi,
This is one the few times I post on a blog. I’ve been looking for newborn announcements that are unique and elegant. I like the ones from Tiny Print, and I actually finally found one website, http://www.parallaxannouncements.com, (before Tiny Prints) that has some wonderful designs.
I almost feel like this is overwhelming… this is my first child and never done this before.
Oh well… I guest blogs like this are here for that, to give as a helping hand.
Thanks

Hi, I was so excited to start the birth announcement process and then i found the task to be overcoming if that’s a word. I searched and serached for the right site and and also went to stores around the area in south Florida. A friend of mine used ten fingers and toes for her baby announcements. I think it’s http://tenfingersandtoes.com She said they had the most unique birth annoucements around. I checked them out and they were truly breath taking. I guess they carry the biggest designers. They also had free shipping. Their site looked so much different then the others too. The best part was when i called them they guided me every step of the way and made me feel very comfortable. Ask for julie. I think she owns the business. What a pleasure it was to shop at this site. She told me they specialize in birth announcements and thats what makes them so good. Anyways, it’s http://tenfingersandtoes.com and they have great birth announcements. I really cant say enough. They ahve a customer for life. karen stikes. Ny.

karen, We got our birth announcements from ten fingers and toes.com. They did look great as you said. We looked at other stores on the web, but none looked as nice as them. They are expensive, but when you get the box they come in and you see all the detail in each card it almost made us all gasp. they say they are known for their service. I think they are right and so are you. They made even my husband feel so comfortable and took as much time with us as needed. Your correct in the address. i think the techy people call it the url. Girl power rocks!! their service person said the company is mostly made up of women. Go tenfingersandtoes.com.

I was giving my best friend a baby shower and wanted to send real cute and unique baby shower invitations. I found FOUR great websites that not only have cool baby shower invitations, but they also have great birth announcements, http://www.cards-411.com/Baby_Shower_Invitations/browse-15.htm http://www.cardsshoppe.com/Baby_Shower_Invitations/Baby_Shower_Invitations-3-1.htm http://www.express-invitations.com/baby_announcements_birth_announcements/Baby-Birth-Announcements.php and http://www.birth-cards.com/Birth_Announcements_Cards/ProductsList-1-1.htm. All sites had tons of baby cards and allowed me to use my own wordings. They even had gobs of sample baby shower sayings. I ordered from http://www.cards-411.com and was not disappointed. The baby shower cards were beautiful, and I my friend plans to order her birth announcements cards there also!

I bought my son’s birth announcement and christening invitations at http://www.bellababy.com . I was so happy with them we also got our holiday cards there. My baby had baby acne and they touched up the photo so you couldn’t even tell. – no extra charge! It rare to get that kind of personal attention at a great price. I’ll keep going back to Bella Baby.
