Book Review: Momma Zen

Miller portrays her odyssey as a mother from pregnancy to toddlerhood with honesty, grace and a profound sense of compassion, and shows us how ancient and simple spiritual lessons can transform the daily challenges of motherhood into "one of the most amazing, miraculous, mysterious, dignifying, and illuminating things you will ever do". What I really love about this book is that it transcends the idea of religion and focuses on the most important things without outlooking the rest, that is our need for validation, for comfort and for love. It lights the way to a better understanding of life, of motherhood and ourselves while teaching us to let go of self-judgment, to slow down, to pay attention and just be.
"Momma Zen, Walking the crooked path of motherhood" is an authentic act of love from a mother to another and I highly recommend it to every mother, especially if you are expecting your first child.
