BPA-Free Baby Bottles
Filed in archive Health by ruth on January 14, 2009
More and more studies are linking chronic diseases to long term exposure to Bisphenol A (BPA), a polymer additive commonly used in the production of plastics., including those used for baby and water bottles. The FDA says that it's still reviewing its safety and refuses to take steps, despite the fact that environmental health organizations in the United States and Canada are already calling for an immediate moratorium on the use of the chemical.

What to do while the experts are debating? Play safe and use glass bottles. Or look for BPA-free alternatives. If you search for "BPA-free baby bottles" in Google, you'll get many leads. Most brands do offer BPA-free alternatives- Evenflo, Gerber, BornFree, Medela, and other less popular brands. Check out this list for some other BPA-free bottle alternatives.
