Calvin Harris issues invites to host parties across Britain on August 18

Self-described hate-figure for parents Calvin Harris issued invitations on his website for people to host parties in Britain on August 18. There are already around 1,000 teens who signed up for the Britain wide party, which they intend to hold in their parent's houses.
This gimmick is for the celebration of Harris' new single "Merrymaking at my place". Backed by his record label, Columbia Records, one party host will win GBP 1,500 as well as an acoustic performance by the singer himself.
British newspapers and parenting support website raisingkids.co.uk issued warnings and parental advice for parents not to leave home on the 18th and for parents to "cancel plans" on the said date.
Teenage house party are treated as a serious threat when uninvited guests crashed a party that was advertised in MySpace leading to 25,000 pounds worth of damage earlier this year.
Harris' website however issued a tip on how to keep the party under control by not inviting strangers and not advertising the party as open to all.
