Pregnancy

Captain Keisel is not just a captain of his ship, he also has successfully delivered a baby in breech position and administered CPR on a new born.
The captain who was with a crew of 3, was 30 miles offshore, when cook Cindy Preisel went into labor. Thanks to his presence of mind, a roll of paper towels and a first aid handbook, he successfully delivered a baby boy, initially due in September.
"I reached with my fingers... as gently as I could and popped out his left shoulder and then his right," he said. "But then the little guy was stuck by his head, being strangled. So I did the only thing I could - I waited for a contraction and then slid my fingers in around the top of his head and scooped him out."
Ahoy Captain!
