Celebrating Easter with the Kids
Filed in archive Fun for the kids by Melissa Petri on April 10, 2006

I am a mother and am someone who is not really that religious. So, Easter for me means going on an extended weekend vacation OR, planning for activities which my son can enjoy. With eggs in the equation, of course.
If you could be anywhere in the vicinity of Washington DC, why not attend the Annual White House Easter Egg Roll? The South Lawn of the White House will be opened on the 17th of April for games and other egg- and bunny-related activities. Tickets will be on a first come, first serve basis; they will be distributed for free by the National Park Services.
Or, you could schedule an easter egg hunt at home with your kids, nephews, nieces and even the neighbor's kids. The more kids, the better. Check out this site for some ideas and fun easter resources.
As for the others...
Carolyn already had their easter egg-hunting fun yesterday. Unfortunately, she thinks her 10-year is now too old for that.
M.O.I.R.A. has lots of family members flying/driving in for Easter when she has an Easter egg-hunt and lots of other fun things planned.
École Buissonnière, on the other hand, said that 3-year old Ambroise thought he might need a shotgun when told that he will be going on an Easter egg hunt.
What about YOU? What do you have planned for your kids?
