girl, a straight-A student and altar girl who took her own life," reports Daily News in this article. What could be so bad that an 11-year old child would commit suicide?
The article continues with some disturbing facts: "Suicide is rare among children under 14, but hundreds of kids in this age group take their lives every year."It is difficult for most adults to imagine that a young child could suffer from depression but they do. As parents, we need to be more vigilant in spotting depression. Read more about this illness, consult a physician and give your child the support and love he/she needs.
