Children working on Puzzles

From 3-4 piece puzzles with wooden handles, my 2 1/2 year old son is now blitz-solving his 15-piece puzzle. We think that he is now ready to handle puzzles with more pieces.
We have been encouraging this type of play, even before he showed interest. Puzzles help kids develop their pincer Grip
. Not only that, it also will help build the skills they need to read, write, solve problems and coordinate their thoughts & actions. From what I have seen, there are ways to help pique your child's interest in puzzles.
Puzzles should suit your child's abilities. Age recommendation on puzzles should not stop you from getting your child one that is fit for an older child.
Puzzles should be challenging but solvable. If it is too easy, he/she will get bored. If it is too difficult, he will become frustrated.
Puzzles should be appealing to your child. I always try to get puzzles that show things that my child is interested in. It encourages him even more.
Try not to interfere. Teach your child the concept of solving puzzles but once he knows it, try not to do it for him/her.
Here are a few more information regarding kid puzzles.
An activity that is both fun and educational is always good. Encourage your kids.
