In the Spotlight

Cho Seung-hui is, as observed by his acquaintances, a loner. And those who have read the 2 plays he wrote for school, said that he was troubled; a few even wondered if he would turn up one day and just start shooting. And you know what, after I have read the two plays he wrote (Richard McBeef and Mr. Brownstone), I was bothered, too.
With Richard McBeef, I asked myself if Cho Seung-hui had stepfather he hated? If he had a stepfather who molested him. What kind of family relationship does he have that he wrote something as disturbing as that?
With Mr. Brownstone, I wondered if he had an abusive teacher.
I am not a psychologist and I do not really know how to interpret those plays but they seem a lot like a cry for help.
Had someone been able to get through to him before, would it have stopped him from going on a rampage and killing all those kids and children?

Is anyone investigating whether Cho indeed had a stepfather? I have heard something about his 'real' father having made a lot of money through Saudi interests.
