Christmas was Saved
In the town of Ibbenbühren in Germany lived a poor family. Shortly before Christmas, the father finally found a job. This good luck made it possible for him to finally be able to afford to buy presents for his 2 kids, aged eight and nine, for the first time in many years.

A good story turned bad when...

Hours before Christmas eve, a burglar broke into their cellar and stole the Christmas gifts.

A bad story turned good when...

The policemen saved the day for this poor family. They gave the children sweets and two teddy bears in police uniforms. Not only that... they also got in touch with the town mayor, Rainer Lammers. The mayor, like the police men, were so touched by the story that he dipped into the city's funds and gave the family $263 to buy new presents.

Problem was...

It was late on Christmas Eve. Stores have already closed.

Thank God, there was another good soul who happened to own a store. He agreed to open his store and let the father buy new toys.

Christmas spirit at its best.
