David Bowie Donates to the Jena Six Legal Defense Fund
Rocker David bowielinks recently donated $10,000 to the legal defense of six African-American teens found guilty of second-degree battery charges last June 28.

Mychell Bell and five other teens were found guilty by an all-white jury for allegedly attacking a white classmate in Jena, Louisiana.

As for David Bowie's reason for giving donating, he said "A donation to the Jena Six Legal Defense Fund is my small gesture indicating my belief that a wrongful charge and sentence should be prevented."
