Deadly swing accident
When I was a kid, I was one of the kids you'd normally find in the playground. Either playing on the monkey bars, swings, see-saw or the sand box. I never really thought of the dangers of playground equipment until I read an article about a a tragic swing-related incident.
4 year-old girl, Teresa Jordan died due to strangulation last Wednesday. It was her 9 year-old brother who found her hanging from the swing-set in the yard of their mobile home. Unfortunately, her mother who was outside with her stepped away for the moment, hence was not able to save the poor child.
Just last week, another 4 year-old died also due to strangulation, when he jumped on the slide with a rope in tow. He somehow got strangled with the rope. Unfortunately, they only found the body when they noticed that the boy was missing.
Annually 15 children die of playground-related incident according to the US Consumer Product Safety Commission.

That’s pretty sad. I hope that they’d immediately station a couple of watchers or at least a person that can supervise children when they’re in playgrounds.

That’s why, as much as you think that it’s just a park with a harmless playground, you never, never keep your eyes off your children. What a sad story.
