So, you used to be a party girl who downs a cosmpolitan as if there was no tomorrow. Now that you are expecting a child, you think a drink or two once in a while would probably not hurt. Well, maybe not. But then again, it could lead to something which might haunt you for the rest of your life.

When pregnant, one of the best way we can give our child-to-be the best possible chance of success is by eating well. We all know that everything that we eat and drink will affect the baby we are carrying. That just once drink might hurt your baby's growth. Your baby could have physical and behavioral problems due to this. Or, worse, your child MAY have serious problems later caused by Fetal Alcohol Syndrome.

"Fetal alcohol syndrome (FAS) is a condition characterized by abnormal facial features, growth retardation, and central nervous system problems. It can occur if a woman drinks alcohol during pregnancy. Children with FAS may have physical disabilities and problems with learning, memory, attention, problem solving, and social/behavioral problems."

Remember, when you drink alcohol, so does your unborn baby.

To avoid drinking even a sip of alocohol during your pregnancy will mean that you can prevent Fetal Alcohol Syndrome 100%.

CDC has more on this here.
