Fever While Breastfeeding
Filed in archive Health by Melissa Petri on January 05, 2007

, I am able to rest during the day. They only wake me up whenever it's time to breasfeed my four-month old. It's challenging to lift my head and cradle my son and breastfeed while my whole body feels like I have been processed inside a washing machine and a dryer. With a fever of 100.4, I am glad that at least my milk supply has not gone low.
It's truly a wonder how our body works. Instead of passing on my illness to my son via breastfeeding, I am instead giving him the antibodies present in my milk.
