Flying With Kids

Our annual trek to my hometown is 7 days away. No matter how many times I've flown with kids in tow, I still dread the full 14 hours of flight every time. Although most of out trips turn out as planned, I still prepare like hell when I start packing for the kids, especially my hand carry. Not to be forgotten are travel documents for the whole family, diapers, wet tissues, bottles, milk, baby water, 2 extra clothes and underwear for the kids, extra shirt for moi and a pack of reliable cotton diapers (for wiping puke and as a cover for the diaper changing table).
Anyways, if you're traveling during the holidays with your kids in tow, here are helpful travel tips from Flying With Kids.
Here is an excerpt from Entertainment and Playing that may come handy when you're traveling.
Wrap toys to add to their entertainment value. Leave one end of the package open so that you can show the 'gift' to security staff if they ask you to. bullet
Forget your policy on limiting screen time - get as much relief as you can from the airplane children's video channels and games. If you don't trust these, take your own audio cassette machine and tapes.

Bring toys out one by one - get maximum use from them, pack them away, then move on to the next toy.
