Good Parenting
Sometimes, I get my moments of doubt. Am I really a good parent? Have I made the best decision? Would my sons grow up to be good persons?
I do not know. All I know is that I am doing the best I can to be a good parent, to raise my children well.
Good Parenting is, I assume, the goal of those who are blessed to have children. It is a challenge which we all face in different ways. After all, each parent is different and each child is different. We seek help, we read, we observe and we follow our hearts. It is difficult but if we are willing, our chances at effective parenting are greater.
I guess that is why blogs like parenting-weblog exist. Because there are many parents out there (like you and me) who are willing to listen to different parenting point of views.
On the other hand, hard as it may be to imagine, there are also lots of bad parents out there. These monsters abuse their own children; do not care what happens to their children; are bad examples to their children. And this is why celebrities like bill cosby have found the need to go out to the public and "implore parents to be involved in all aspects of their children's lives". He has previously opined that too many parents have shirked their responsibilities and have left their kids to be raised by television, school teachers and the streets.
Good Parenting is all about making sure our children feels secure, loved and valued. Let us all hope that each and every parent strives to be a good one.

oh, i so agree that every child and parent/s are different. and believe me, every single day in my parenting life is striving that my kids all grow-up well.

we try to do the best we can
