Grocery Shopping with the Kids

Grocery shopping is a Family Affair. We try to keep our 3-year old involved by letting him pick out — based on the choices which my husband and I have already agreed is good for him — what he may want. It may take a bit longer than normal but it sure is worth the trouble.
Should you plan to do the same with your kids, you may want to read eHow's How to Take Children Grocery Shopping. The list just about covers everything which might concern a parent.
Another thing which you may want to consider when taking your child grocery shopping is the use of shopping cart. Do you, like my husband and I, put your child on the shopping cart seat?
Apparently (news to me!), it's best NOT TO!
"…shopping cart-related injuries are common and can result in severe injury or even death."
Best to read the whole recommendation from the American Academy of Pediatrics on how to avoid shopping cart accidents from happening.
Suddenly, shopping for our groceries this weekend is already stressing me out.
