Heart Transplant saves the life of a baby

I cannot count anymore the number of times I have been asked what my preference is -- whether I want the baby I am carrying to be a boy or a girl. Someone even had the gall to say, "oh, c'mon! you should have a preference" when I answered that I didn't really have one. Seriously, all I am wishing for is a happy, healthy baby.
Most of the time, we see images of happy babies. But, the fact is, there are many babies born with problems. Or, babies who later develop problems. These babies become ill or have abnormalities of function or body chemistry which, more often than not, has some effect on the child's development.
Like what happened to the dear Drapers. Their twins were born "with dilated cardiomyopathy, a disease where the heart muscles are not strong enough to pump efficiently. Both needed heart transplants to survive."
And then, there are the Yorks whose "4-month-old (son) Jordan suffered a fatal brain injury in his grandparents' bed, after a pillow fell over his face and cut off his breathing."
Thank God, for the Drapers, the Yorks have agreed to let Jordan's heart keep one of the Draper twins alive. A heart transplant that gives one of the babies new life.
"I feel so glad. It's his soul, more than anything," Tracy York said. "I think he [Jordan] will live on forever through that little boy. ... I think his spirit will always be here, because his heart is still beating."
To date, the Drapers are still waiting for a heart for their other son, Nate. Maybe you can help. Check out this page for more information.
"There are approximately 89,000 Americans currently waiting for a donated organ, and the Drapers hope their story will raise public awareness for the need for organ donors."
