Hitman Hired to Kill Fetus
The world gets stranger and stranger every day. Some of the news that hog the headlines really makes you wonder what the heck is wrong with a lot of people these days… people like Charles D. Young.
Charles D. Young was sentenced to 76½ months in prison after he confessed to first-degree solicitation to commit manslaughter. His intended target? The baby that his ex-girlfriend is carrying which he fathered. Why? Because he didn't want to have anything to do with the baby.
Fortunately, a classmate learned of his plan and went to the police. An undercover police then posed as a hitman. Charles asked the "hitman" to injure his girlfriend so bad so the fetus inside her would die.
You know what else is weird about this story? Charles' lawyer's statement. He said that "his client is an intelligent young man who got bad advice." Intelligent?! He was so intelligent that he followed someone's advice of hiring a hitman to get rid of the baby he fathered? What kind of an argument is that?!
