The term stay-at-home Mom or Dad seems to focus more on one's role as a parent. However, SAHMs or SAHDs do not just take care of the kids.
So, which term should be used?
Lisa of mommies to mommies has an interesting point...
"Lately I have been wondering that. I tell people I stay at home but in a way I consider myself a WAHM (work at home mom). I wake up in the morning, depending on the day what we do. I am a chauffeur, chef, maid, playmate, and I also really try hard to work on this web site everyday."
Perhaps, we should ALL think of another term which best describes who we refer to at present as stay-at-home moms or dads. What do you think?
