Homeschooling
I grew up studying in private, catholic schools. Just like everyone else in my family… just like most of the people I know. As for my son… well, we've been looking at bilinggual schools, international schools (which are way beyond our budget) and montesorris. None of the choices I have in mind includes home schooling. With my background (or lack thereof, depending on who is checking), one would not be surprised.
However, you cannot ignore the fact that home schooling's popularity is growing. Should you be interested to learn the way Thomas Edison, dakota fanning and Jane Austen were schooled, check out theweekmagazine.com's interesting brief, "When School is at Home."

I am using a combination of homeschool curriculum as well as sending my 3 year old to daycare. Ultimately, i will still need to make a choice if i want to fully homeschool her when she reaches kindergarden’s age. Perhaps i am too anxious as a parent. I intend to coach her at home in addition to sending her to school – if this is what my final decision will be.
