Hooded Jacket recalled

Bought your boy a jacket recently? If so, check it out and see if "HurleyCo" is stitched on the upper left side of the jacket. If it has a neck drawstring and BJ06GS written on the label then you have a 100% confirmation.

What is with this jacket?

Well, CPSC and Hurley International has announced the voluntary recall of this hooded jacket for boys, despite the fact that no injuries has been reported. Apparently, this product has been recalled to prevent users from being strangled by its drawstring.

A good call. Strangely, though, there are lots of jackets out there with neck drawstrings on them and they are still being sold (year after year). Those jackets, imho, pose the same hazard to its users. Strange.
