My son has been being picked upon by a bully in school. I'm thinking of talking to the kid's mom. Here's what I wrote:

The class bully picked on Raine again.

At lunch break, Raine didn't come out of the gate on time…so I went inside to his classroom. I was told that the principal brought Raine to the school clinic. When he arrived and I saw him for the first time, his right eye was swollen and red. Both eyes have red scratches around. The bully threw crayons at Raine's face and hit the eyes. That's what I've been told.

WTH?!

I know Raine can be very playful and active. But he wouldn't intentionally hurt anyone. If he gets hurt? Time will come, he will really swing back at any kid who punched him or something. To get even! But then that's another story.

Now this kid, the bully. He's got some level of autism, I've been told. He is thrice the size of Raine and seem to have fun picking on his classmates. He is almost 8 years old, yet still in first grade.

I caught him twice already.

Raine was once coming out of their room, dragging his wheeled-bag and the bully kid came after Raine's bag kicking it will all his might. I told him to stop. (Ang mata ko nangdidilat). C'mon, what's his pain? Kicking a helpless bag?? What will you get from that?! He did stop though. But not right away.

Then Raine was called by him in separate occasions, ugly and pig.

What??!!!!! My son isn't ugly and is definitely not a pig!

Gosh. I've been meaning to talk to the kid's mom since last month. My son has a complaint about the bully on a daily basis. But I've been warned that the mom always takes her kid's side. What am I to do?

Still I wanna talk to the mom. It's not her kid ending up in the school clinic. It's my kid!
