How To Check For Heart Trouble

How To Check For Heart Trouble

If you are afraid that you are headed for heart trouble, here are some things that you will need to look out for:

1. Chest pain. Not every one who has heart troubles will feel pain in their chest, but it is still the most common sign of an impending heart attack. The pain need not be overwhelming. Sometimes it can be relatively mild and you might think it will go away shortly.

2. Pain in other parts of the upper body. Pay attention to discomfort coming from your back, neck, shoulders, arms, wrists, elbows, shoulder blades, jaw, throat or even gums and earlobes. These could very well be signs of a heart attack. The pain does not always have to come from your chest. If the pain persists for more than half an hour, have someone bring you to the hospital immediately.

3. Stomach pain. If it doesn't feel like hunger pains, start paying attention when you feel nauseous. Try to have your heart checked to be sure everything about it is just fine.

4. Flu-like symptoms. Many people who have previously had heart attacks report having gone through a really bad flu. They report feeling exhausted for several days, having gastrointestinal problems and generally just not feeling well at all. Make sure you see your doctor to know if these are not signs of a heart attack.

5. Shortness of breath. Even without any kind of body pain, heaving or shortness of breath can be a sign of a heart attack.
