Insure your kids health
Filed in archive Finances by Melissa Petri on June 5, 2007

As many as 9 Million kids in America do not have health insurance. Either it's too expensive to pay for a private insurance or parents are not qualified for medicaid
. Whatever the reason may be, having your children insured should be your top-most priority. Kids often get sick or get an accident, hence not having a health coverage might cost lives.
I searched through the Internet and found several health insurance coverage for children. Here are some of the results that I found, and I hope that this list takes you a step closer to having your kids insured.
- 1-877-kids-now, for families who earn upto $34,000 a year (for a family of 4)
- Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) for families who earn too much to qualify for Medicaid and cannot afford a private insurance
- The State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) for families who earn $36,200 a year
