Introducing Solid Foods

Thinking that I could do the same with my other son, I also introduced solids as soon as he turned 4-months old. He just pushed it all out with his tongue. So, I went back to breastfeeding exclusively.
It has been a month since I first tried to give him solid food. And lately, I have noticed that he seemed more interested whenever he sees us eat. He has this look on his face as if to say, "why am I not getting any?"
So, today, I went to the store and bought one little bottle of baby food
. I bought apple, like the last time. And guess what, after the first spoon, he started to greedily catch the spoon with his mouth. He loved it! If your child, like mine, is ready to have solids, you could try introducing it gradually. If you need a guideline on whether you should start and what you need to do, read BabyCenter's Introducing Solid Foods. It's choc-ful of information which will definitely help you and your baby have a smooth transition to adding solids in his/her diet.
If you prefer not to give your baby store bought baby food, you can definitely make your own. Recipe Goldmine has tons of baby food recipes, enough to make your baby a goo-gourmet.
