After 27 hours of operation and a team of 30 surgeons, Baby Lakshmi is in a stable and sound condition.
Doctors successfully removed Lakshmi's "parasitic" twin. Specialists in pediatrics, Neurosurgery, orthopedics and plastic surgery took a total of 27 hours to remove her four additional limbs. The surgery which started yesterday "went through the night, with surgeons working 8-hour shifts."
The procedure which has never been done in India was funded by the Narayana Health City Hospital.
