"If only I had free time..." I have always planned in my hand what I would do the day I get a free time. Much as I love my son, there are times when I crave for days when I could do whatever I want, finish all the writing that I need.
That time came 2 days ago. I found myself in a plush hotel, with more free time in my hands than I ever wished for.
What did I do? With my laptop plugged and ready for action, all I ever did do for the past 2 nights was sleep, call home and stare at my son's picture. I missed the mess that is our living room. I missed being dragged away from work by my son's impatient, "come with me, mama and play."
After all those wishes, I wasn't that willing to be left alone, after all. And, guess what, other moms who needs to go on business trips feel just about the same. Check out Baby Center's Parenting Dilemma and read what everyone else had to say about leaving their kids while they go on business trips.

Very true... for years I have been longing for a day to come wherein I can just be alone and do things on my own. That day came and became one of the saddest day of my life... I missed them terribly that day.

funny that what we thought we were longing for was not really what we want.
