Let Your Kids Go Outside and Play
I watched a magazine show last night and they featured three kids who ditched normal contact with kids their age. They found solace in sponge bob, chat rooms and the World of Warcraft.

It is alarming, that kids like the three featured are not isolated cases. Going online and spending so much time in front of the telly seems to be the norm for kids nowadays.

A survey conducted by Playborhood shows that "over 80% of children in the US never play in their neighborhoods without adults present." Parents are concerned with the results, 80% percent of respondents would like that their children's playtime increase. Even two thirds of the respondents are "willing to move to a house with substantially better play opportunities."

Playborhood is a community of parents in the US that promotes free and unstructured play. If you are aware and worried about your kids not spending much time for unstructured play, join and help the Playborhood team find solutions.
