Medicine Confusion

Apart from morning sickness, some pregnant women still have so many other things to consider. Like small complications which are manageable but takes a little bit more work.
Take me for example...
Apart from morning sickness and heartburn, I have been advised (and been given prescriptions) to overcome my deficiencies in calcium and iron.
So, I need to take calcium supplements since I am lactose intolerant and do not really get enough calcium from what I normally eat. But, I can only take calcium after I have taken my iron supplement. See, calcium contain compounds that interfere with iron absorption. Same with antacid, which I need to take for my heartburn.
Plus, I have been told to watch what I eat. Conflicts in what I can and cannot, should and should not eat sometimes confuses the heck out of me.
As I have said, it is manageable. It just means that I need to take extra care. And that I am perennially confused and holding the line whenever I am checking out the menu at the office cafeteria.
If you are pregnant, make sure that you are eating what you are supposed to eat to ensure your and your baby's health. Whatever you may need in addition (supplements), your doctor will let you know.
