Mirror: I saw Maddy dragged away by vicious man
The Mirror reported that British expat, George Burke, saw a girl who had a remarkable resemblance to Madeleine McCann, being dragged by a "vicious" looking man and woman around 6am on May 4.
The British expat saw the couple and the child while he was driving to the Lagos Marina and rail station. He immediately informed the police after hearing about Madeleine's disappearance. The Portuguese police, however, did not purse the possible sighting because the British expat "failed to take the sighting seriously." Port authorities were only alerted 12 hours after the disappearance.
If the girl was indeed Maddie, then she could atleast still be alive and might have been smuggled to North Africa.
