Even if I wasn't ready for another child back then and had doubts about my ability to handle both a toddler and a newborn, never did I wish for the baby inside me to be miscarried. But, miscarry, I did. Guilty thoughts raced in my head. Thinking that maybe my doubts led to it. Maybe I wasn't careful enough because at the back of my mind, I wasn't really ready.

Now that I (and my partner) have conciously decided to have another child, I am trying to bring all my fears and doubts to rest by reading up on facts about miscarriage. Besides, I do not want my anticipation of having a baby turn to grief yet again.

Judith Cobb has discussed in detail what we can do (naturally : herbs) to prevent miscarriage. She has listed down herbs that are good for you and those which you may want to avoid. I think one must go to a special shop in order to get the tips right. Interestingly, this article says that one must "avoid all other over the counter medications or medicinal herbs."

You can achieve optimum health and minimize the risk of a miscarriage by following some dietary recommendations, according to Women Fitness. This advise is much easier to follow, in comparison to the herbal tips.

In any case, whatever step I (or you) may decide to take, I will speak to my doctor in detail about what should and should not be done. Wish me (us) luck!
