Mother's Day celebration for New Moms
Filed in archive In the Spotlight by Melissa Petri on May 2, 2006

Since your child is too young to understand, much less do anything special for you, preparing that Mother's Day surprise would have to come from someone else - your own parents, your husband/partner or a friend.
When better for them to give you a break from your 24-hour duty than on Mother's Day, right?
Dads, friends, parents and siblings, listen up!
A great way to pamper new moms would be to send them to a Spa where childcare
facilities are also available. That way, she can relax, rejuvenate and enjoy while the little bundle of joy is being taken cared of by a professional child-minder who may even have activities prepared which could also mean fun. At night, mom and baby can cuddle and bond in the confines of their room. Check out Flyaway-Weblog later today for the specifics on where you could go. For those moms who would rather stay home, why not send her some flowers and a gift basket? Add a nicely framed photo of her and her baby as a finishing touch.
Dads... why not let her put her feet up and rest. Prepare a sumptuous breakfast in bed and let her stay in while you take care of the baby.
Those are just a few suggestions of what you can do on Mother's Day. The activity or gift which you choose depends on the mother and your budget. The most important thing, anyway, is to make her feel cherished.
