Movie Ratings

Do you really know what your kids are watching?
Nowadays, it isn't that easy to judge anymore. Cartoons do not always mean "purely for kids". There's violence, foul language and heck, even porn in cartoons nowadays!
Watching a trailer wouldn't really be enough for you to judge either.
What about movie ratings, you may ask. Well, as a parent, you would be glad to know that members of the Board "must have a shared parenthood experience, must be possessed of an intelligent maturity, and most of all, have the capacity to put themselves in the role of most American parents so they can view a film and apply a rating that most parents would find suitable and helpful in aiding their decisions about their children's moviegoing."
At least, we have some help there. If you want to read more details about how they rate movies, go here.
Need more help? Check out screen it! and kids in mind. They have a list of movies that they have judged good for your kids.
Preteenagers Today has an interesting article: A Parent's Guide to Movie Ratings. Wouldn't hurt to hop on over there to get even more info.
As a parent, I do not believe in being too strict. I'd rather be vigilant about what my child is into and just give him advices. Of course, before I (you) can give advices, I (you) should be armed with information first. So, click away!
