Moving to the Suburbs
Please excuse the unannounced hiatus. We moved from the city to the suburbs; and it took forever until we were able to get the service guy to install our tv/internet/phone connection.

Despite the fact that my husband and I are city people, we opted to move to the suburbs to give our kids more space and healthier outdoor activity options. Plus, it's not like we need to give up a lot of things. See, we're only moving 10km further down.

My husband and I figured that this move, despite the additional cost and all the extra work needed to be done, will be worth it. Since work and my kids' kindergarten are all In the City, we will still be able to enjoy what the city has to offer, when needed. The great thing about this set-up is that when we get home, we will have all the other advantages of living in the suburbs to enjoy.

In the suburbs, we can enjoy:

  • a bigger house

  • ample running space for the kids, without worrying about neighbors living downstairs complaining

  • our very own spot of green

  • weekend organic market

  • hiking and biking trails

Oh yea, did I mention that we are now paying the same price for our 5-bedroom house in the suburbs as our 3-bedroom flat in the city? Great deal, eh?
