My Son is Growing Up
My husband and I have been searching for a really big bed for the past weeks. Since we co-sleep, we have decided to get a really big bed to make space for our sons — a 3 year old and a 5-month old — who always seem to end up sleeping horizontally, leaving us with little space on the bed.
We have not been very successful with our bed search. So we thought that we may have to hire someone to make one for us. Perhaps a 2.7 x 2.0 meter bed will suffice.
Surprisingly, our older son slept on his own bed in his own room the other day. The whole night, my husband and I were restless because we were expecting to hear the patter of his little feet, finding his way back to our bed. It didn't happen.
I was proud of him that night. I was also sad, though. My son is growing up.
