Need Parenting Help?

Raising children is not an easy task. It will test every ounce of patience in your body and will even make you regret your decision of having a family. The thing is, before it goes out of hand, or before you reach your boiling point, seek help. Asking for help is not a shameful act. Might as well do it now when you can still manage the problems rather than wait until it escalates and realize that you can no longer handle the disputes.
The question is, where do you get parenting help when you are at your wits end?
www.goodparentingskills.com came up with a list of ideas and agencies where you can seek parenting help.
- Child Protective Services will help you with disputes and problems as well as avoid family problems
- Classes in medical clinics, churches, hospitals and social agencies
- Internet, books and magazines
- Counseling
- Parenting groups
You can also consider several parenting help if you want respite from your kids and would want time for yourself.
- Ask relatives or friends to take your kids out
- Church activities where your children can take part
- Daycare or pre-school
- Youth community programs
Remember that there are people who can help and it is not shameful to get a break once in a while from your children.

I’d like to add to the list of resources for parenting help…our parents, aunts, and grandparents are often a wealth of information and support.
