New Parenting Research Supports New Family Structures

With the changing dynamics in what a typical family looks like, new research and studies have emerged with supporting evidence that single parents are as capable and effective in their parenting role as a couple. This is reflected in the new TV show called,'Modern Family', which follows the lives of three very different family structures including a gay couple who adopt a child. The controversy behind parenting issues is also seen in the up coming movie 'The Switch', starring Jennifer Andiston as a 40 year old single mother.
Susan Newman, a social psychologist believes that there is now a new definition of the look, meaning and feel of a traditional family. It is not longer the nuclear family, but rather a mixture of new dynamics that can benefit child bearing. This of course is reflected towards how society is changing and providing equal opporunitity and rights to individuals.

I find your conclusions a bit rash. In fact, I would suspect that the research is entirely biased by a desire to achieve the outcome. The traditional family structure can not be superceded by any hybrid, as long as the traditional family is one of a loving, supportive and nurturing nature. I am very skeptical of this research and its published results. Just my opinion.
