For now, though, I am making sure that I take part in their lives. I look forward to my daily conversations of googoos and gagas with my youngest; and I also eagerly wait at the end of the day for conversations about playtime and cars with my 3-year old.
This early, we are making sure that we constantly communicate with our kids. None of that, "do this and that because I said so..." kind of reasoning. We always keep in mind that the whys and wherefores are necessary even at this early age.
How about YOU? What is your practice when it comes to communicating with your child?

I think it's very important to take the time to talk to your child. I always ask him when I pick him up how is , what he's been doing etc. unfortunately we sometimes get caught up in our 'must do this'thoughts that we don't think about how important communication is for them as well.
