Positional Plagiocephaly

Positional Plagiocephaly is what you call that flat spot on a baby's head, whether in the side or on one side.
Normally, this happens when the baby is left to sleep in the same position often since infant heads are soft. Fortunately, flat heads can easily be corrected.
You can improve your baby's head shape by…
Re-positioning the head during sleep should help the child's head to be re-shaped over time.
Letting your baby lie on his/her stomach. Of course, this should only be done while you are awake and watching.
Switching hands/arms when carrying your baby so that the head is not only cradled from one side.

We are students currently enrolled in the Villanova Business School and are conducting a consumer survey for our product for our Management class. We have created an “On the Go” diaper, which would serve as regular disposable diaper, but would have an additional removable pouch on the front containing a prepackage of 3-5 wipes and a glove. We created this product in hopes of simplifying the task of changing a baby’s diaper while outside the home and also to eliminate the hassle of bringing a diaper bag everywhere. Please take a couple minutes to fill out our survey. Thank you very much!

It can also happen by leaving the baby laying too often, such as on play mats or in swings. Using a good sling helps prevent both flat head and the bald spot infants get, and allow parents to stll be able to get things done.
