Recall News
by Melissa Petri on September 25, 2007

Recreational Equipment Inc. of Kent, Washington recalled it's Novara Afterburner Trailer Bicycles after discovering a "potential Safety defect" last July 2007.
Consumers are advised to immediately stop using the bike trailer since the trailer bike might detach from the adult bike, hence posing a fall hazard to children.
For replacement parts and installation instructions (if you haven't received it per mail), consumers can drop by the REI Stores (they will install it for you free of charge) or call 1-800-426-4840.
If you have received the replacement per mail but couldn't figure-out how to do it, click this LINK and play the video.

It seems like there is a new product recall every few days. I am especially concerned about all the recalls on recreational products and office products. I now have a personal file that alerts me to office product recalls. I also receive timely notices when one of my recreational toys has been recalled. You can receive the recalls and update notices at the product blog page.
