My sister is due to give birth in a months' time. And like every first time parent, she and her husband have concerns and issues. One of which is the use of cloth vs. disposable nappies.
My brother-in-law is actually pushing for cloth nappies, stating the fact that: 1. it's cheaper; 2. it's more environmentally friendly; and 3. its reusable, meaning they can still use it for baby #2 (or #3).
My sister on the other hand is pushing for disposable nappies. Why? Because she's the one who'll take care of the baby (well mostly) so CONVENIENCE is a MUST.
They both have their points and both arguments makes sense. So I told them, use cloth during the day and disposable at night. Both sides settled.
With my two boys, my husband and I never really had any argument (or discussion) as to what kind of nappies we'll use for the kids. Since we both did not have much time, we opted to use Pampers for both kids. And we never really had any problems with it, although there were times that it leaked.
Anyways, for families with issues on using cloth vs. disposable, here are more facts and opinions about nappies that might help you in choosing the right one for your baby.
