Romance in Marriage

With full-time jobs and kids to raise, some married couples find it hard to find time to focus on their marriage. Somehow, the relationship between man and wife have taken a backseat.

How do you reconnect? How do you put the romance back in your lives?

Work together and not against each other. For decisions on how Junior should be disciplined, how chores should be divided, which insurance coverage you should get and the likes, try to listen to each other's idea and work on a compromise.

Find time for each other. Even if it's just for half an hour each day where you can both talk to each other about your day. Schedule a date night, from time to time. Hire a sitter or give Junior to his grandparents so you can both enjoy a free evening doing what normal couples do to undwind, relax and reconnect.

Check out the Dummies guide (yup, because the solution is so obvious) on how to make your marriage more romantic.

Have a bit of fun and take Redbook's Game of Married Life. You get to test your "marital mettle" and try different personas.

Try to remember how it was in the beginning between the two of you. That wonderful memory could push you to work harder to improve your married life.

I am a romantic who believes that love lasts a lifetime. It may sound so cheesy yet I think that everybody has not realized the beauty of love. Love makes us a better person for the “other”. And this is something that should not be neglected in our lifetime. Life is short, better make the most of it.

Im not married but i cannot see myself ever losing the love i have for my partner. I dont think u have to try and make love work, it just should.
