However, apart from the above extras, we also need to take note of other details. Just like what we did to our homes, it is also imperative that baby proofing is done to our temporary abodes to prevent accidents.
The first thing we (my husband and I) normally do is to go down in all fours to check the room. We give special attention to electric outlets, the window, the balcony door, the tables and bed edges and the toilet by securing them using a kit which we always bring along. If, god forbid, we forget our little toolbox, we do a McGyver and use tape.
Of course, we also make sure that little things lying around are taken away.
Another concern is the crib. Apparently, as proved by NBC, one must not always assume that having a crib in the room is safe. Check its safety, as well.
