Schedule of a WAHM
Gone are the days when my MDA Pro and the Calendar in my Outlook would be filled with schedules for meetings and deadline alarms. Ever since I went on maternity leave last July 2006, the term "schedule" has been erased from my mind's databank. And, obviously, even my body clock has gone haywire.

It has been a long time since I have been able to sleep for more than 4 hours straight. Yes, breastfeeding will do that.

It has been a long time since my head hit the pillow before 2am. 3am is my normal time to sleep because 11pm-3am is my ONLY me time. It's the Only Time when I can do my freelance work. On "normal times", I am a slave to practical stuff like chores and mommy duties. Not that my husband does not help. He does a lot, actually. Just that between the two of us, 2 very demanding sons (a 3-year old and a 5-month old) and everything else that needs to be done seems to need way more than 24 hours to get done.

It's stressful but we did get used to it. And have adjusted to it, actually. Just don't expect a clean house when you visit us unannounced.

"Mom, why are you cleaning? Do we have visitors coming?," my 3-year old son asked the other day. Isn't it obvious how we are coping? hehe
