Setting a Good Example
"I already told you three times, NO!"
My husband and I were barely able to hold our laughter when we heard our three-year old say exactly the same phrase that we have used on him.
In the beginning, it was funny. Later, we realized how important it is to watch what we say in front of our kids. How important it is to teach them the right values… to set a good example. As parents, we should be our children's role model.
We should also keep in mind that we can't say one thing and do the opposite. 'Do as we say and not as we do' is not exactly what we can call good parenting.
We, parents, are the greatest influence in our children's lives. If we want our children to grow up as good adults, we need to show them how.
