Shopping With Your Teenager
It just seems like yesterday when you were buying newborn layettes. Eventually, you were out buying matching clothes -- all of which, are based on what YOU think would look best on your child.

Today, your teenaged child has his/her own tastes... knows exactly what fits and what the current trend is.

Teen Fashion is influenced by peers, the media and, to some degree, by parents.

However, hard may it be to admit, most parents' tastes in clothing could equal fashion suicide for some teenagers.

What to do? Well, rather than insists on your tastes, you could...

Ask your child to look in his/her closet to figure out what he/she really needs.

And instead of insisting on a certain style, cut or color for your teenager's wardrobe, make a list of no-nos instead... like, no ripped clothes, not too short, not too revealing, etc.

And then, let them go shop for what they want, with the above "rules" in mind.

You might also want to check out teen fashion magazines to get an idea about the current trend. This should help you understand your teenager's choice in clothes.
